Want to Work With Me? Let’s Make that Happen
I offer a number of professional services to companies and individuals looking to publish their work. Those services are: game design and writing, document editing, layout and graphic design, podcast editing, and Kickstarter consultation.
Note: The rates and details of this section assume that you are a company or individual seeking professional contract work intended for publication. If you’re looking to commission work for personal use, keep scrolling.
I’m a game designer with over six years of experience across multiple genres of games. In addition to my own projects, I have worked as a contracted freelancer for Paizo (Starfinder), Evil Hat Productions (The Agency), Encoded Designs (Iron Edda Accelerated), Galileo Games (Valkyries), John Harper (Blades in the Dark stretch goal), and Atomic Overmind (REIGN stretch goal).
I am available for full games, supplements, adventures, generational lists, and Kickstarter stretch goals.
Additionally, I have years of experience with a variety of types of writing, including fiction, marketing copy, blog posts, proposals, and reports. I always strive to identify my audience and meet them where they are with my writing.
My base rate is $0.10/word and can go up depending on the complexity of the project.
I have worked as both a full-time and freelance editor. I have worked on translation editing for a variety of contracted companies, as well as editing manga for Seven Seas (Accomplishments of the Duke’s Daughter, vol. 1-3). As well, I have worked as an editor of tabletop RPG content for Exploding Rogue Studios (Dead Scare – various Postcards) and Brie Sheldon (Turn). I have a rate structure ranging from basic proofreading up through a full developmental edit.
Copy Editing: $0.08/word
Developmental Editing: $0.10/word
Rates assume no rush request
For the last two years, I have been working professionally on both graphic design and layout. In addition to doing layout for my own small games (theothertracy.itch.io), I have done work for DC (Mutants in the Night character sheet) and Purple Aether Games (Journey Away and The Deck of Many Names). I’m happy to work on projects both large and small. If needed, this service can also include Art Direction and sourcing.
As layout and design project vary wildly, rates are available on request.
For three years, I recorded my own series of RPG actual play podcasts, under the banner of TheOtherCast. In addition, I have done freelance audio editing work for podcasts such as The Magpies, and One Shot.
I can work with raw audio, do level adjustment, vocal alignment, and cleanup. I have a keen editorial ear and a good sense for how to make every person in a group shine. I also take pride in my sound design. Themes, sound effects, and background music all are tools I use to make any production sing. Editing audio and helping performers sound their best is one of the most rewarding professional services I offer, and I would love to help your production be the best it can be.
Rate is $25/hr of work. Basic production takes 2-4x the length of the final product. Fully produced episodes take 6-8x.
I began my game publishing career with Kickstarter, having run my first successful campaign in 2012 (School Daze). Since 2012, I have run or consulted on seven successful Kickstarter projects. You can view my entire Kickstarter portfolio here.
My consultation services include the full range of Kickstarter concerns including pricing the final product, tier pricing and reward structures, team coordination and compensation, goal setting, social media messaging, and general cheerleading/support as the campaign is running. I have an extensive network of freelance professionals I can contact for any needed services (video production, art, etc.)
My base rate is 5% of the gross raised by the Kickstarter.
If you’re interested in any of the professional services listed above, or if you have any questions, please use the form below to contact me! I’d love to work with you.
Note: The rates on this page assume you’re an individual looking to get some custom work for yourself, your group, a friend, etc. My professional rates are different than what is presented here. If you’re a publisher wanting work-for-hire or contract work, please see the above section.
If you like how this sounds, you can place your order to the left! Once payment is received, I’ll be in contact to begin your creation. Stories are delivered within 3-5 business days.

Each item includes a consultation and a review phase where you get to tell me if things are heading in the right direction. If you want something for a particular system, we’ll talk about that during the consultation. I’m most familiar with D&D 5th Edition, Fate, Savage Worlds, various games Powered by the Apocalypse, and I can become familiar with many other systems, if need be. Content will be delivered as agreed upon by us and is usually 5-7 business days.
Most sessions will happen online. We’ll use Skype, Google Hangouts and/or Roll20 if that’s the case. If you live within 30 miles of Columbus, OH we can make the session happen in person. If you’ve really got a yearning for an in-person session and you’re a distance away, we can talk pricing to get me to you.
I’m happy to learn a new game system for you, but I’m more familiar with D&D 5th Edition, Fate, Powered by the Apocalypse, Savage Worlds, and most d20-based systems. I’ve also got a treasure trove of indie RPGs I’m happy to bring to the table.
If you’re inspired by what you’ve seen here but the options don’t seem to fit what you want, get in touch with me and we’ll figure out what I can do for you.
